  • 1. Radiological Safety Division, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam (India)

Description

This paper explains some useful experiences encountered during in-situ testing of filter banks at FBTR and RML. Interim fuel storage building (IFSB) has been commissioned at FBTR complex to fabricate and store the fuel sub-assembly and blanket sub exhaust system of IFSB was tested successfully and achieved the efficiency as per the regulatory requirement. A new Glove Box to generate active iodine for Iodine filter bank testing has been commissioned at FBTR. The emergency exhaust filter assembly of hot cell at RML was tested for the first time since inception. These tests were successfully completed without causing any spread of contaminated and personnel exposure. (author)
