New experimental results in muon catalyzed fusion
Description
Muons introduced into relatively cold, dense deuterium-tritium mixtures quickly form muonic d-t molecules in which d-t fusion takes place very rapidly. Yields of up to 150 catalyzed fusions per muon have been achieved, renewing interest in muon catalyzed fusion as a possible source of energy. (author). 10 refs, 4 figs
