Physicochemical properties of praseodymium and neodymium dioxides
Description
Praseodymium and neodymium dioxides are prepared in the course of treatment of products of thermal decomposition of carbonate compounds by oxygen under special conditions; neodymium dioxide being prepared for the first time. X-ray diffractograms prove that the materials studied: initial PrO2 and Pr6O11 samples calcined at 600 and 850 deg C belong to a cubic structure; initial NdO2 - to a cubic somewhat distorted structure; Nd6O11 samples calcined at 680 and 950 deg C -to a cubic structure and Nd2O3 - to a hexagonal structure
