Effect of 2, 4-dimethylaniline on the fluorescence of 1, 3, 4-oxadiazole derivative

  • 1. U.G. and P.G. Department of Physics, Karnataka Science College, Dharwad (India)

Description

Fluorescence quenching of newly synthesized 1, 3, 4-oxadiazole derivatives (TNO) by 2, 4 dimethylaniline was carried out in ethanol organic solvent through steady state and time resolved methods to understand the internal mechanisms. Fluorescence quenching studies indicate the role of static and dynamic quenching mechanisms. Further, the sphere of action static quenching and finite sink approximation models reveal static effect in the excited state and diffusion limited bimolecular quenching reactions. (author)
