Evidence for correlated valence nucleon transfers in multi-particle stripping channels in 18O induced reactions

Description

Studies of the structure of neutron and proton rich nuclei are of great current interest. In a recent measurement, the evidence for di-neutron configuration of 6He has been reported in 2n transfer reactions. In order to investigate the influence of the excess of valence nucleons on the multinucleon transfer process, measurements for multinucleon transfer reactions in 16O, 18O + 174Yb systems have been carried out. Here the results on the multinucleon transfer cross sections and their dependence on the number of transferred nucleons from the projectile to the target nucleus have been reported
