Observations of intense solar burst in the millimeter wave region on December 16, 1988

Description

Preliminary results of observations of the intense solar burst at the wavelengths 3, 4.1, 6.1 and 8.4 mm with right ascension angular resolution 30, 45, 60 and 90'' correspondingly are reported. The brightness temperatures of the burst source estimated at these wavelengths are 13500, 20000, 116400 and 563800 K and its angular dimension in the horizontal plane is 25''
