Dosimetry of high-energy electrons (5 and 10 MeV) in Cu, PE, and PVC
Description
Recently, application of γ rays and electron beams in human health, agriculture and industry are widely developed. In polymer industry electron beams are used to improve mechanical and thermal properties of polymers due to crosslinking. Uniformity of the irradiation of materials is very important parameter for homogeneous crosslinking of them. In this work we have obtained dose depth curves for several materials which are used in wire and cable industry. Then we have measured the absorbed dose in different layers of a model designed for typical wire and cable. Finally, the suitable method for uniform irradiation of the wire and cable are presented
