Investigation into Tl5Te3-Tl5As2Te3-Tl system

Using differential thermal and X-ray phase analyses in the system Tl5Te3-Tl5As2Te3-Tl four polythermal cross sections are studied: Tl2Te-Tl6As2Te3, which is partially quasibinary and Tl5As2Te3-Tl2Te, Tl-(Tlsub(5)Tesub(3))sub(0.1) (Tlsub(5)Assub(2)Tesub(3))sub(0.1) and Tl2Te- (Tlsub(5)Tesub(3))sub(0.83) (Tlsub(5)Assub(2)Tesub(3))sub(0.17). Temperature and concentrational boundaries of primary crystallization ranges of α- and γ-solid solutions as well as ranges of component cocrystallization are determined. Boundaries of stratification range are found. The system Tl5Te3-Tl5As2Te3- Tl is characterized by the presence of monovariant peritectic equilibrium and monovariant monotectic equilibrium. Isothermal cross sections of the system Tl5Te3- Tl5As2Te3-Tl are built at 400, 350, 300, 290, 250 and 200 deg C
