Crystal structure of (NH4)3Zr2F9SO4x2H2O and its sodium analog

Description

The structure of (NH4)3Zr2F9SO4x2H2O (1) is determined. The crystals 1 are monoclinic, a = 12.257, b 10.187, c = 12.033 A, β = 117.02 deg, sp.gr. C2/m. The structure 1 is composed of layers [Zr2F9(H2O)2]- anions SO4 and cations NH4+. The Zr-F distance is 1.965-2.175; the Zr-Ow One is 2.252 A. The compound K3Zr2F9SO4x2H2O is isostructural to the compound 1 and it has the elementary cell with a = 11.930; b = 10.258, c = 11.554 A; β=115.72 deg
