Creep in high-temperature reactor components
- 1. Kernforschungsanlage Juelich G.m.b.H. (Germany, F.R.)
Description
Using as an example a heat exchanger tube of Inconel 617 the creep deformation under various service loadings is considered for operation temperatures of about 9500C. Existing design rules and theoretical models are evaluated in respect to their use in a regulation guide or code case for helium cooled high temperature reactors with operation temperatures above 8000C.
