Interaction between liquid magnesium and yttrium fluoride dissolved in melt of sodium and calcium chlorides
Description
Equilibrium in the system liquid magnesium - solution of yttrium fluorides with sodium and calcium chlorides has been studied within the temperature range of 700-800 deg C. Heats of formation of solutions are determined. It is shown that the interaction of liquid magnesium with yttrium fluoride is characterized by a positive value of the change of the isobaric-isothermic potential, differing from the standard one, because of the formation of solutions
