Neutral hierarchy in technicolor theories with not very small GUT scale couplings

Description
A natural hierarchy can be achieved in technicolor theories with not very small high energy couplings if the technicolor β function possesses an (effective) infrared stable fixed point close, and above, the critical value for spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking. An analytic example is discussed. These considerations provide some justification to interpret the Maiani-Parisi-Petronzio scheme of 'non perturbative' unification in a technicolor framework. (orig.)
