Theory of half-integral resonant extraction
Description
Analytic theory of half-integral resonant extraction based on the averaging method is presented. The theory is applied to the design of the slow extraction system for the KEK 12 GeV proton synchrotron. The theory is shown to be in good agreement with the numerical result obtained by ray-tracing.
