Description

The present paper reports only the synthesis and Photoluminescence (PL) study of the 'Eu' rare earth ion doped in different host lattices prepared by standard solid state reaction method, which is the most suitable for large-scale production. We prepared host sample of each lattice and also prepared 'Eu' ion doped samples at different concentrations. All the samples were heated to 1200 deg C using muffle furnace. We investigate the photoluminescence, both excitation and emission, of each sample using Spectrofluorophotometer (SHIMADZU, RF 5301PC) with Xenon lamp as excitation source. We recorded all the data at room temperature. Initially we report PL emission, of host lattice and the dopant 'Eu' 0.5 mol% samples, under various excitation wavelengths. (author)
