Application for the decomissioning of the Kernkraftwerk Brunsbuettel rejected

Description
The 10th division of the Regional Administrative Court in Schleswig has rejected, on the 2nd of July the application by 21 citizens for the temporary decommissioning of the Kernkraftwerk Brunsbuettel on the Elbe estuary. It does not follow that the action against the operation of the nuclear power plant, which operates already on a test basis since June 23rd, has been rejected altogether. The main procedure, which will possibly begin only next year, will rule on that. (orig./HP)

Die 10. Kammer des Landesverwaltungsgerichts in Schleswig hat am 2. Juli den Antrag von 21 Buergern auf eine vorlaeufige Stillegung des Kernkraftwerks Brunsbuettel an der Elbemuendung abgelehnt. Damit ist die Klage gegen den Betrieb des Kernkraftwerks, das bereits seit dem 23. Juni testweise arbeitet, noch nicht abgewiesen. Darueber wird erst im Hauptverfahren entschieden, das moeglicherweise erst im naechsten Jahr beginnt. (orig./HP)Additional details
