On photon drag effect in tellurium and GaP
Description
The mechanisms of the photon drag in tellurium stipulated by interaction of the magnetic field of light wave with the angular momentum of holes in zones M1' and M2' and by photoionization of shallow impurity centers are theoretically considered. Also, the mechanism of the photon drag in n-GaP due to the direct optical transitions between subbands X1' and X3' is considered depending on photon wave vector. The nature of effect is analyzed in the multivalley semiconductors. The temperature and spectral dependences of the photon drag current are obtained. (author)
