Description

Automatic translation: As a result of the accident at the nuclear power plant in Chernobyl, a large amount of radioactive substances were released into the atmosphere. Thirty years have passed since that moment, but the attention of specialists to thyroid pathology in the population who received irradiation of the thyroid gland as a result of this catastrophe has not waned. A significant increase in the incidence of thyroid cancer occurred in people who were children and adolescents at the time of the accident and lived in the most contaminated areas of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.
