Strangeness and the skyrme model
Description
We study models of baryon structure based on effective chiral field theories of mesons. We concentrate on the SU(3) flavor sector. We review the collective coordinate quantization method and discuss the fundamental role played by the Wess-Zumino term. We then proceed to analyse the bound state method and its consequences. We end up by looking into some novel phenomenological implications of our investigation
