LECOTELO -loop for the flow study of the lead in the thermal-hydraulic circuit

Description

In ICN Pitesti has made the LECOTELO (LEAD COrosion test loop) installation. Its purpose is to study the reaction of the structure metals in liquid lead environment, in terms of thermal-hydraulic flow in closed loops. For getting into run the installation some tests were made to determine the ability of the installation to work on the imposed parameters given by the design theme. During these tests, some changes have been made to improve its running. The first part of the paper presents a short functional description of the installation. Then, there are described the function tests performed, the problems encountered in its running and the changes made to solve these problems. (authors)
