67Ga scan patterns in patients with sarcoidosis
- 1. Changhai Hospital, Shanghai (China). Dept. of Nuclear Medicine
Description
67Ga scan results were obtained from 9 patients with clinically active sarcoidosis. Of the 9 patients with sarcoidosis, two were intrathoracic, six were both intrathoracic and extrathoracic; one was negative because of receiving steroid therapy. Symmetrical lacrimal gland and parotid gland 67Ga uptake (panda appearance) was observed in 6 cases. Bilateral symmetrical hilar lymphadenopathy pattern (lambda-λ image) was noted in 7 cases. λ image associated with panda appearance were observed in 5 cases. These results indicate that simultaneous occurrence of λ image and panda appearance are highly specific for sarcoidosis
