Correlation between rheology, processing and micro structure in polymers

Description

Tests on polymer melts are necessary to understand polysorbate problems. The morphology and microstructure of a polymer, which control ultimate behavior of the product, are significant for the product quality. Understanding the relationship between different properties, rheology, processing and microstructure all contribute to understand materials behavior and thus, one can eliminate deficiencies in polymer systems. This paper will present some relationships between microstructure, process ability and product quality of polymeric materials. An attempt is made to explain some of the experimental observations considering available literature and theories. (authors)
