Standardization of 153Sm
Description
Solutions of 153Sm were standardised by 4π(PC)-γ counting and an intrinsic Ge spectrometer was employed to measure the relevant gamma-ray emission probabilities. Measurements were also made using a re-entrant high pressure ionisation chamber to accurately determine the half-life. The results are Pγ(103 keV)=0.285(5) γ's per decay and t1/2=46.285(4) h
