The use of a time dependent method of diffusional analysis for in situ tritium recovery data provides advantages over the inventory method, providing the measurements are sufficiently precise. The size of an ionization chamber directly affects the time dependence of its output with smaller chambers having less of an impact. 4 refs., 3 figs
