Korea multi-purpose accelerator complex management

Description

KOMAC and its 100MeV proton linac had been developed through the Proton Engineering Frontier Project supported by the 21st Century Frontier R and D Program of Korean government and Gyeongju-si from 2002 to 2012, started normal operations from January. Objectives of KOMAC is to provide optimum particle beam service in order to support R and D's and their industrial applications, to maximize availability of the accelerators and beam facilities by efficient and safe operation and reliable maintenance, to upgrade accelerators and beam facilities in order to improve their performance. This project has been conducted to operation and stable management of the accelerator and beam line, to upgrade of performance for the proton accelerator and beam line, to offer proton beam/ion beam service, user support, etc. this report describes the annual results. KOMAC contributes to creating new industries and improving our lives by industrial and medical applications of particle beam and accelerator technologies.
