This paper deals in a general way with basic theoretical connections concerning non-stationary thermal stress, decisive difference in temperature, the transient and quasi-stationary state, the superposition of mechanical stresses, permissible stress on material, the use of computer programmes, and thoughts on process handling. In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden in allgemeiner Form grundlegende theoretische Zusammenhaenge bei instationaeren Waermespannungen, die massgebende Temperaturdifferenz, der Einschwing- und der quasistationaere Zustand, die Ueberlagerung mechanischer Spannungen, die zulaessige Werkstoffbeanspruchung, der Einsatz von EDV-Programmen und Ueberlegung bei der Prozessfuehrung behandelt.
