Description
A rapidly switchable superconducting magnet system is described. This system permits the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation times T1 of protons and other nuclei to be determined in the field range 2.5 x 10-5 T < Bsub(o) < 1.3 T using the field-cycling method. The system is suitable both for liquids and solids. The shortest measurable relaxation times are of the order of milliseconds or somewhat less depending on the T1 dispersion. (author)
