Moments method in the theory of fluctuations of cascade processes

Description

Method for calculating fluctuations and correlations in cascade processes based on the restoration of arbitrary cascade curves from their space (longitudinal) momenta is stated. The method reduces a problem of cascade fluctuations calculation in homogeneous medium to the calculation of covariance matrix of arbitrary momenta depending only on an energy variable. Totality of this matrix elements permits to calculate fluctuations and correlations of any cascade track characteristics. The method is oriented to calculations of high energy cascades when the effect of fluctuations of longitudinal momenta of high orders (n ≥ 5) can be neglected
