Ranger uranium water management system : report of the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Environment and Conservation
Creators
Description
The Committee was appointed to enquire into and report on environmental aspects of legislative and administrative measures which ought to be taken in order to ensure the wise and effective management of the Australian environment and of Australia's natural resources. This report on the Water Management System at the Ranger Uranium Mine in the Northern Territory concludes that the number of failures relating to the operation of the water management system is alarming. Should these regular accidental releases continue the Committee would support the temporary cessation of operations until the system was rectified
