Static and dynamical properties of hot nuclei
Description
This paper briefly reviews the authors' understanding of the formation of excited/hot nuclei in heavy-ion collisions at some tens of MeV/A. The authors recall the major theoretical frameworks used for describing as well the entrance channel of the reaction as the structure properties of hot nuclei. The authors finally focus on multifragmentation within insisting upon the theoretical challenge it does represent
