Description
The singular part of the hydrogen dipole matrix element is exactly calculated. The result can be of interest for both quantum electrodynamics (bremsstrahlung, Rayleigh scattering) and quantum optics (above-threshold ionisation). Comparison with approximate methods is performed. (author)
