Description

The modern tri-iodinated X-ray contrast media for the renal and biliary tracts show not only improved diagnostic-positive main effects, but also considerably less side effects. The main and side effects in dependence of the type of contrast medium, its mode of application and dose, and the endogenous and exogenous factors are described. Their frequency, dependence on time, and the risk of general reactions are discussed. Specific side effects of contrast media such as local damage, systemic damage, and organ damage are described. Abstract (German)

Die modernen trijodierten nephrotopen und hepatotropen Roentgenkontrastmittel zeigen nicht nur verbesserte diagnostisch-positive Hauptwirkungen, sondern haben auch erhebliche reduzierte Nebenwirkungen. Die Haupt- und Nebenwirkungseffekte in Abhaengigkeit von der Art des Kontrastmittels, Applikationsart und Dosis sowie endogenen und exogenen Faktoren werden dargestellt. Die Haeufigkeit, Zeitabhaengigkeit und das Risiko von Allgemeinreaktionen werden diskutiert. Auch spezielle Kontrastmittelnebenwirkungen wie lokale Schaeden, Systemschaeden und Organschaeden werden beschrieben. (APR)
