Description
The chemistry of glycerol derivatives is one of the perspective and rapidly developing areas of modern organic chemistry, which is associated with the originality of their biological activity and great practical value. Due to the presence of two reactive centers (opening of the epoxy ring and the C-Cl bond), epichlorohydrin undergoes various chemical transformations. This makes it possible to obtain on its basis numerous derivatives with a wide spectrum of physiological action. At the same time, special attention is paid to research aimed at improving methods for obtaining new aliphatic, aromatic and cyclic derivatives of epichlorohydrin, which have found wide application in various areas of national economy. At present, the chemical properties and biological activity of glycerol derivatives based on a wide range of alcohols, phenols, ammonia, amines, fatty acids and other classes of organic compounds are being studied in detail. However, there is little data on synthesis and study of epichlorohydrin derivatives with amino acid esters. Based on this, it is a great interest to study the reaction of the interaction of epichlorohydrin with amino acid esters. Epichlorohydrin derivatives perform a number of important functions in a living organism. In addition, epichlorohydrin esters are interesting subjects for establishing the relationship between the structure of a compound and its reactivity. Epichlorohydrin derivatives with amino acid esters, which are biologically active compounds with relatively low toxicity, are perspective as an object of research. Analysis of literature sources showed that synthesis and identification of useful properties of such compounds is non-systematic. Therefore, the development of available methods for preparation of such compounds, the study of their chemical transformations and other properties is an urgent task that makes it possible to contribute to organic chemistry and obtain a number of new potentially biologically active substances. In addition, the obtained compounds should be considered as intermediates of organic synthesis. (author)
