Regularities of hardening and embrittlement in steels and alloys on their heating for soldering

Creators

Description

The structure and mechanical properties of high-strength alloys (EhP-202, EhJ-U335, EhJ-702) and steels (SN2A, 12Kh18N10T) are investigated when heating to soldering with a Cu-Ag solder. It is shown that brittle fracture and strength decrease of the materials studied in heating with a solder are associated with a sharp decrease of plasticity due to precipitation of hardening phases. Coarse-grained structure is noted to intensify the tendency to brittleness in materials contacting with a solder melt
