Nonleptonic hyperon decays and lightlike chiral structure of hadrons, 2
- 1. Ibaraki Univ., Mito (Japan). Dept. of Physics
Description
Lightlike chiral algebra is applied to the investigation of the nonleptonic hyperon decays. We use the light-front reduction formula to the decay amplitudes and take the limit sub(π)sup(+) and q sub(π)sup(perpendicular)→0. We do not have to make q sub(π)sup(-) tend to zero, in contrast to the conventional current algebraic approach. We present dynamical conditions under which the ΔI = 1/2 rule and the Lee-Sugawara relation are obtained. They are represented in terms of the relations among various reduced matrix elements of the weak Hamiltonian. (auth.)
