Computer codes for the estimation of reliability values

Description

The reliability of equipment is defined as its ability not to fail during a certain interval due to some malfunction. In order to assess this reliability extensive calculations have often to be carried out. The design of equipment may be relieved from this work by proper computer codes. Function, properties and effort for development and operation of such codes are explained in this paper. (RW)

Abstract (German)

Die Zuverlaessigkeit eines Geraets ist definiert als seine Faehigkeit, innerhalb eines bestimmten Zeitraums nicht durch eine Fehlfunktion auszufallen. Zur Abschaetzung dieser Zuverlaessigkeit muessen oft umfangreiche Rechnungen durchgefuehrt werden. Diese Arbeit kann dem Geraeteentwickler durch geeignete Rechnerprogramme abgenommen werden. Funktion, Eigenschaft und Aufwand fuer Entwicklung und Einsatz solcher Programme werden in der vorliegenden Arbeit erlaeutert. (RW)
