The Wendelstein VII a injection system

  • 1. Max-Planck-Institut fuer Plasmaphysik, Garching/Muenchen (Germany, F.R.)

Description

The basic criteria underlying the design of the Wendelstein VII A injection system are discussed and the essential components described. The performance of the injection system is investigated, beam quality and power are in agreement with similarexperiments. The main parameters of the system are: 200 kW extracted power +- 1.40 FWHM, beam steering by aperture displacement up to 500 msec reliable puls length for molybdenum electrodes
