30 years of nuclear chemistry in Poland

Description

Short survey of advances in nuclear chemistry in Poland during past thirty years is given. The main fields described are: radiochemistry, pure and applied to the production of isotopes and reprocessing of nuclear fuel; basic radiation chemistry, and applied to problems of radiation processing of different materials in selected purposes of sterilization, grafting and crosslinking; radioanalytical chemistry with activation analysis and separation methods, as well as, instrumental analysis connected closely to nuclear chemistry. Other achievements, like application of radioactive indicators in the science, medicine and industry as well as in analysis and processing of ores, etc. are only briefly mentioned. (author)
