Gamma spectrometric measurements of radioactivity of NORM/building materials at the Slovak Medical University
Description
At the Slovak Medical University (SZU), gamma spectrometric measurements have been performed since the 1980s, as well as measurements of natural radionuclides in building materials. The workplace was put into operation anew in 2021. In the work, the authors will present analyzes of variations in the natural background of the HPGe detector with respect to some influencing factors, analysis of corrections for deviations from reference conditions, and recommendations for practice.
