Respiratory motion management in radiation therapy
Description
The essential component of respiratory motion management in radiation therapy is to accurately measure target movement to account for internal margins in treatment planning. Then, adequate set-up margins should be created reflecting accuracy of patient fixation and isocenter location. In addition, a special care is needed to verify a clinical process from CT image acquisition for treatment planning to treatment delivery. (author)
