Analysis Technology For Determination Of U And Ce In The Vitrified .Samples Of The Spent Fuel By ICP-AES

Description

The Assessment of vitrification technology from the waste of spent solution has been performed at the PNC-Tokai Works. Japan particularly for those of the elemental analysis. One of the established elemental analysis technique was ICP-AES. The research was conducted to the four of vitrified samples consisted of uranium. The result revealed very high deviation of analysis and it was not in agreement with the standard reference and theoretical point of view related to the emission spectral lines aspect of possibly individual elements in the samples. It was found that the emission spectral lines of U which is lambda = 385.958 nm gives affects to the intensity of the spectral lines of Ce which is lambda = 413.765 nm. Some aspects of analysis technology based on ICP-AES have not been improved yet to show the accurate result
