Okhotsk-Chukotskii volcanic belt: revision of age based on new 40Ar/39Ar and U-Pb isotopic data

Description
For refining the formation age of magmatic complexes of the Okhotsk-Chukotskii volcanic belt the U-Pb dating of zircons from rhyolite samples, previously studied by the methods of Ar-Ar, K-Ar and Rb-Sr dating, was conducted. It is shown that the results of dating for the same rhyolite samples provided by different methods are in a satisfactory agreement: 85 ± 0.5 mln. years (U-Pb), 81-84 mln. years (Ar-Ar), 86 ± 3 mln. years (K-Ar)

С целью уточнения возраста формирования магматических комплексов Охотско-Чукотского вулканогенного пояса проведено U-Pb-датирование цирконов из образцов риолита, ранее исследованных методами Ar-Ar, K-Ar и Rb-Sr-датирования. Показано, что результаты датирования одних и тех же образцов риолитов разными методами удовлетворительно сходятся: 85 ± 0.5 млн. лет (U-Pb), 81-84 млн. лет (Ar-Ar), 86 ± 3 млн. лет (K-Ar)Additional details
