Description

Large-scale mineralization in South China mainly occurs in Mesozoic. However, uranium mineralization in this area lasts from Mesozoic to Cenozoic with the features as follows: (I) the time gap of diagenesis and uranium mineralization is large; (II) the large uranium deposits are aggregated distribution; (III) the uranium source and the mineralizer is mantle-derived; (IV) the uranium exploration has no great breakthrough for a long time. This paper takes the relation between the driving force of structure-magmatic activity and uranium mineralization as a starting point, combines with many uranium mineralization theories and studies the relation between structure-magmatic activity and uranium mineralization in South China systematically in Mesozoic and Cenozoic. According to the study, the relation between structure-magmatic activity and uranium mineralization in Mesozoic and Cenozoic of South China can be divided into four categories: Tectonic regime transformation uranium mineralization view, Hot spot (mantle plume) uranium mineralization view, Mantle ichor activity uranium mineralization view and In-situ melting uranium mineralization view.
