Description
Full text: Recent heavy-ion reaction experiments on isospin diffusion and the ratio of charged pions have allowed us to put a strong constraint on the density dependence of the nuclear symmetry energy. Implications of the constrained EOS of neutron-rich matter on the mass-radius relation of fast pulsars, core-crust transition density of neutron stars and the gravitational radiation of elliptically deformed pulsars will be discussed.
