Standardization of medfly trapping in the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya during 1987-1991
- 1. Agricultural Research Centre, Tripoli (Libyan Arab Jamahiriya)
Description
Dry, Nadel-type traps provided with Trimedlure plug and DDVP insecticide-dispenser proved very effective for male catches under Libyan conditions. The IPMT baited with water solution of Nulure and borax was very effective for female catches. Finally, sticky traps, i.e. Jackson, gave poor results due to dirt and sand stuck on the sticky insert.
