Description

Faraday effect and magnetic susceptibility of EuGaG and SmGaG rare earth garnets in the range of temperatures 80-600 K and wave lengths 4000-7000 A are investigated. Faraday effect in EuGaG rare earth garnet is noticed to be not proportional to magnetization of rare earth compound, meanwhile, Sm3+ ion contribution to Faraday effect in SmGaG garnet in the investigated range of temperatures and wave length is inefficient
