Laser electron photon experiment at SPring-8

Description
A highly polarized photon beam produced via the backward Compton scattering of polarized laser photons off the high energy electron is utilized for nuclear and particle physics experiments at SPring-8. Some recent results from the first physics run started in 2000 are presented and the future prospects are discussed. (author)
