Synthesis and sorption properties of hydrated manganese dioxide of layered structure saturated cations of s-, p- and d-elements

Description
Compounds on the basis of hydrated manganese dioxide of layered structure are synthesized at 4-6 Deg C. The compounds are analogues at manganese minerals of ocean iron-manganese formations saturated by different cations, among which are Cd2+ ones. Sorption properties of these compounds have been studied with respect to cations of alkali metal (Na+, K+) and s-, p- and d-elements. Exchange capacity by cations of s-, p- and d-metals is equal to 0.13-4.2 meq/g. Sorption of bivalent metals cations depends on phase and chemical composition of Mn-compounds
