Description

The basic ideas and characteristics of the future thermonuclear reactor are presented with special emphasis on the objects of neutron physics research, namely the blanket and the protection. An analysis of the results from the neutron physics studies carried out in the framework of the cooperation between experts of the member-states of CMEA is made. The main targets of this research justifying the power thermonuclear reactor project are outlined. Development of better methods of calculating and testing sets of experiments using sources of thermonuclear neutrons is stressed. 8 tabs., 6 figs., 13 refs
