Study of Cs2HgI4(CH3)2SO and [N(CH3)4]2HgI4 structures

Description
X-Ray diffraction investigation into the (1:1) adduct of Cs2HgI4xMe2SO (1) composition and (NMe4)2HgI4 (2) crystals, obtained from aqueous solutions is conducted. Crystal structures (1) and (2) have an island motive, HgI42- anions represent strongly distorted tetrahedrons. For (1) lattice parameters are: a=8.0609, b=10.670, c=11.245 A, α=76.67, β=63.39, γ=71.66 deg, f.gr. P1-bar, for (2) -a=9.647, b=13.362, c=16.756 A, f.gr. P212121
