Description
The Lyman-α diagnostic is dedicated to the detection of hydrogen in the vicinity of the first wall (liner) of TEXTOR by means of laser induced fluorescence. It relies on a fast data acquisition to collect up to 40 time-resolved fluorescence signals within the 3 s. long plasma shot. The system developed is described, with emphasis on the constraints imposed by some measuring instruments and on the demanded flexibility
